we all have the power to heal the environment (1/2)
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
We humans mistakenly think that we as a species and the planet Earth that we reside in are two different entities. In reality, we are not separate; we were born from Mother Earth and we will return to her when the time comes. We belong to Earth, we are Earth. And that’s why it’s our responsibility to take good care of the planet.
We must constantly work towards enhancing our relationship with the environment. We can’t just shirk our responsibility and our sacred duty towards the well-being of this planet and assume that the politicians, environmental activists, billionaires, and CEOs of multinational corporations will do all the necessary work to protect our planet. Truth be told, the health of the ecosystem lies in the hands of all of us. Each of us can start working towards healing the planet and the environment right away by walking on the path of personal development and changing our daily habits. This is the best and most effective way to avert major global catastrophes in the future.
People like you and me have the real power to save our planet. Our everyday decisions such as what we buy and/or sell, how much fuel we consume, and what we dump on the land and into the sea have a significant impact on the ecosystem. The compound effect applies here too. Our small, seemingly insignificant everyday actions and behaviors accumulated over time can bring appreciable changes in the health of our planet.
