things will always remain the same

No matter how much progress we make, the fundamental truth is that we humans will always remain the same. Human emotions will never change, no matter how much we advance further in terms of technology and access.

The generations before us and the generations after us have and will participate in the same acts of human existence — live, die, work, celebrate, cry, laugh, share, oppose. With a few exceptions, things will always remain the same.

We are all ephemeral beings on this thriving planet. We are like clouds in the sky that appear for a while and dissolve again. When our time runs out, we all have to go. Instead of denying and distancing ourselves away from this truth, a better way to live is to accept it and always be aware of it as we spend our precious, fragile moments on this spinning orb.

As the Bible verse goes: “One generation passeth, and another generation cometh; but the earth abideth forever. The sun also riseth, and the sun goeth down, and resteth to the place where he arose.”

This timeless piece of wisdom will help us keep things into perspective because no matter how invincible or powerful we feel, we are all temporary visitors who will leave eventually.
