the two waiters
We all have been through the experience where we are eating at a restaurant, and when we need something, we wave repeatedly at a waiter but he never seems to see us no matter how much we wave. And then another waiter standing at the far end of the room catches a glimpse of us waving and comes to us in a matter of few seconds. This isn’t an instance of alertness, but it’s an instance of alignment.
There is an alignment and that’s why the waiter picks our vibration in an indescribable way and approaches us to take care of our need. The same happens in the grand scheme of our life as well.
When we need certain things and want certain desires to be met, we wave vigorously viz. pursuing them and doing all the hard work we can, yet we never get our desired outcomes. It’s not that we are not doing our best, it’s just that there’s a lack of alignment. When there’s alignment, the things that we actually need in our life come our way easily and effortlessly. The same applies to people and circumstances in our life.
We need to let go of our mindset of hustling hard all the time and pursuing what we want indefinitely. If we always keep trying, we never get the important things done.
When things don’t work out, we can be certain that the alignment was never there and we can simply wait for better things to show up. Instead of getting angry and pissed off, we can simply cultivate calmness and patience, and have faith that things that we need and desire will come to us, sooner or later. It’s never a matter of if, it’s only a matter of when.
It’s futile running after things, people and circumstances where alignment is not there, as it makes our life unnecessarily difficult. Instead, it’s best to take a step back, accept the reality and see what the Universe has to offer to us. Even if things don’t turn out the way we want them to, in the broader perspective, we would realize that things have always been silently working out in our favor.
