start your day with positive affirmations
Whether you are new to the self-development world or a pro, we are all well aware of “the power of positive thinking.” It’s a concept that has widely become popular and sort of cliché. But numerous scientific studies have demonstrated the physical, mental and emotional benefits of positive thinking. That’s why it’s something that we simply can’t avoid, especially when we go through tough and challenging times.
I have written about this before but it bears repeating. A positive mindset can increase your confidence, improve your mood, lower fear and anxiety levels, and reduce the likelihood of developing health conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), depression and other stress-related disorders.
We can all cultivate a positive mindset via different avenues. And one simple and effective method to do so is to start our day with some positive affirmations.
We all know that how we start our morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. This is why the maxim, “Win your morning, win your day” holds so much truth. I’m sure you would have gone through the experience of waking up late, panicked and hurried, and the negativity just kept accruing as the day went ahead. Instead, we can get momentum on our side and let hope and positivity dominate our thoughts by starting our day with uplifting affirmations.
Listen to some positive affirmations audio tracks or videos, or write them down in your journal. If you like and are not worried about feeling silly, you can also talk to yourself in the mirror with statements like “Today is going to be a beautiful day” or “I will be focused and productive today,” you get the picture.
If you’re looking for a good resource, I recommend Bob Baker’s YouTube channel. He has some really helpful guided meditation and positive affirmations videos, and I have been playing them consistently as part of my morning routine for the past few months, especially the ones related to wealth, abundance and gratitude. So, do check it out.
A little positivity can go a long way. Just add a few minutes of positive affirmations in your day, and you’ll be amazed at how beneficial they can be in your day to day life.
