social media is secondary
As creative entrepreneurs, it has become difficult to attract people’s attention towards our creations and services. There’s so much digital haze and noise around that reaching people has become challenging. As a result, most of us resort to increased social media presence in pursuit of a bigger audience.
There’s nothing wrong with being on social media, but we need to make sure that it doesn’t become a top priority for us. Some of us distance ourselves from creating and expressing our genius to spend more time on crafting social media posts simply to get more followers, likes, hearts etc.
Our primary focus should always be our craft and its mastery. There’s no point in sacrificing our creative productivity at the altar of social media marketing. It’s our work that matters the most, not our social media stats and status.
In this distraction-filled world, it’s crucial that we use social media deliberately and intentionally without getting sucked in the digital vortex. We can spend our precious resources on creating meaningful work, and simply use social media to spread our message and create a ripple effect.
Don’t let the noise of social media fool and distract you; shift your focus towards creating meaningful creations that reflect your true potential and genius. People will get inspired by and remember you for your work and the impact it made, not for your social media stats and how many followers you accumulated over time.
