now is the turning point
Are you happy with where you are right now in your life? Are you living the life that you envisioned for yourself or do you frequently go through the “feeling behind” syndrome? Do you still feel you can have better health, better friendships, better relationships, better finances and a better and more aligned life enriched with success, abundance, love and joy? If your answer is not a positive one, then it means it’s time for a turning point in your life.
We all know that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting a different result. And I’m sure you’re not inclined to living an insane life, right?
If you want things to be different, you need to change. An inspiring insight that we can all internalize for a better life is: Our past does not equal our future. As Darren Hardy shares, “No matter your past, your future is absolutely spotless.” Tomorrow is a new day. As you wake up and open your eyes, you have a blank canvas in front of you. You can choose to paint a different picture tomorrow with whatever colors you want than what you have painted so far.
You can hit the “reset” button on your life at any time; this is a key advantage that we humans have over other beings on this planet. In one of his motivational speeches, Jim Rohn said, “Humans are unique. We are the only species who can completely change the course of our lives. Ants can’t do it, alligators can’t and lions can’t. If a goose wanted to fly west instead of south for the winter, it couldn’t. All other animals besides humans are directed entirely by impulse written into their genetic code. As a human, if you don’t like the story of your life thus far, you can rip up the script and write a completely new one.”
If we look at the lives of people who have been greatly successful and created history, we would observe that they all had a turning point — a time in their lives when they made a clear and firm decision that this moment forward their life would never be the same — that made all their feats possible. They let go of all the negative patterns in their lives so that they could create the lives that they desired for themselves and leave behind a powerful legacy.
These turning points come in different phases in different people’s lives, some earlier and some quite late, and sometimes they come multiple times as an individual goes through his own personal evolution.
I would urge you to make NOW your turning point. Let this year, this month, this day and this moment be all about creating a positive and lasting change in yourself and your life. You have to believe in your greater self. You are far more gifted, talented and powerful than you allow yourself to be. You’ve only achieved a fraction of what you can truly accomplish in your life, and it’s time to let go of your anchors, and start living the life that you are really meant to live.
The only thing you need to catapult your life and attain the grandest vision of your life is courage. Muster the courage to change things once and for all and let right now, today, this year, be a turning point in your life. Make the resolute decision to start living your personal legend moving forward. As the big O, Oprah Winfrey said, “The great courageous act that we must all do, is to have the courage to step out of our history and past so that we can live our dreams.”
