labels

We want to give a label to everything. If there’s something that we can’t comprehend, we try to put that in a box so that we can feel better. It’s a search for certainty, for sureness.

Not all friendships, associations and relationships need to be tied down with a label. Sometimes, words can’t communicate or justify the nature of the bond that we share with someone. Instead of simplifying things, just let it go.

Don’t be in a rush to put a label to something that’s still brewing. Society wants us to put labels, but we can politely decline its request.

Let things flow with time. We can’t dictate the shape a particular connection will take in advance.

Let labels come to you, don’t run towards them. And even if they don’t, it’s okay. It’s not the end of the world.
