honor the miracles happening around you
It’s raining outside, and as I stood on the balcony admiring the pleasing event, a random thought crossed my mind.
What if witnessing rain was once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon – an occasion that only took place once in 100 years? Would we be still ignoring it as we spend our time within the four walls of our concrete existence?
Nope. We’d make a big deal out of it. People would gather on the streets singing and dancing; we would pay a fortune to watch every drop coming from the heavens above and falling on the soil beneath. Who knows, some would even save and store the “special water” and either put it on a display in their homes or pass it on as an heirloom for the generations to come.
Water is not an ordinary entity, it’s magical. Rains are a blessing, especially when the summer has been brutal and unkindly. So, the next time it rains, why not leave our tasks aside and just stand and observe the rains, and witness nature’s beauty as everything gets cleaner, fresher… as the colors become vibrant and the air becomes pure and pristine?
Miracles are happening every day around us. We just need to become more mindful and aware, and step out of our self-constructed bubbles to appreciate them. To marvel at them and be in awe of the gems in our vicinity that lay hidden up until now. That’s the key to bringing more joy and magic in our day-to-day mundane existence. Little, ordinary things matter!
