doing work that uplifts you
We spend a good chunk of our lives at work, whether we do it for others or ourselves. It doesn’t matter if you’re an employee or an entrepreneur, what matters the most is what kind of person you are becoming as you work.
If you think your work doesn’t align with your core values, then it’s time to move on. It’s time to seek something else that resonates better with you. Otherwise, you won’t be making good use of your talents and your time. You’ll be climbing a ladder against the wrong wall, and the higher you climb, the more difficult it will get to come down and make a switch.
If the work that we do is not fueled by inspiration and passion, then we’re not designing an optimal life for ourselves. Our work should make us better versions of ourselves, both personally and professionally.
We may need to keep experimenting and keep seeking work that provides us with immense meaning and fulfillment and feels the right fit for us. It should not only help us experience groundedness but also growth.
Our work should keep us away from stagnation and obsolescence; there needs to be a good amount of challenge that helps us grow and progress ahead.
Our work needs to reflect our essence, only in that way we’ll be able to uplift ourselves and others and create a long-lasting impact on this world.
