detachment brings lightness and freedom
The primary benefit of letting go, whether it be in terms of physical stuff, emotional attachments or addictions is that we let go of the baggage that has been weighing us down all along. The non-essentials and junk are disposed of and we get a clear sight of our values, our passions and the direction that we need to go in. We are no longer anchored, but instead, we get grounded in positivity and authenticity. And with this groundedness, we experience freedom.
Freedom is the culmination of detachment. In today’s age, it’s easy to become a slave to other peoples’ needs and wants and let society dictate our way of life. Mundane and monotony are the norm with little space left to love and live. With detachment, we gain the freedom that seemed distant and unattainable previously. With this newly acquired freedom, we get a chance to start again with a clean slate. It becomes easier to bring big shifts and changes in our lives that we had built resistance to. With withering excuses, complaints and limiting beliefs, our freedom gives us a second chance at living a life that is happier and healthier and a lifestyle that we truly deserve.
